Inherited an implementation you did not choose
Somebody else scoped it, built it and left. We read the extensions, document what is really running, and give you a plain list of what to fix first.
Independent Dynamics 365 Business Central consultants
LR Services is an independent consultancy for companies already running Dynamics 365 Business Central or still sitting on NAV. We do the implementation work, the migrations, the AL extensions and the rescue projects, and we build AI into the places where your people are still doing things by hand.
Where most calls start
Most of the people who call us are not shopping for an ERP. They already bought one. The implementation is live, the go-live happened, and now there is a list. Posting routines that take too long. Reports that do not tie out. A customization that broke on the last update wave. A partner who has moved on to the next deal and answers support tickets in four days.
That is the work we do. We come in behind other people's implementations as often as we do our own, read the code, find what is actually wrong, and fix it. No re-platforming pitch, no proposal to start over. If your Business Central is 80 percent right, our job is the other 20 percent.
We are not here to sell you a new system. We are here to make the one you have behave like the one you were sold.
Somebody else scoped it, built it and left. We read the extensions, document what is really running, and give you a plain list of what to fix first.
Volumes, entities, warehouses and currencies that were not in scope two years ago. We extend the system to match the business you have now.
Tickets that sit, escalations that loop. We work directly with your people rather than through a ticket queue.
What we do
Business Central is the anchor and where most of our hours go. Bespoke development covers the gaps the standard application leaves. AI takes the manual work back out, implemented into the ERP rather than parked beside it. Most engagements touch at least two of the three.
01 Anchor practice
This is the anchor of the firm and where most of our hours go. We implement Business Central for companies moving off spreadsheets or legacy systems, we migrate NAV installations that have run out of road, and we optimize environments that are live but underperforming. On the technical side that means AL extensions, integrations with the systems around BC, upgrade remediation and posting or performance work in the parts of the application most consultants avoid.
We also work through Microsoft Partners. When a partner needs a senior BC resource on a project, on their paper and under their project manager, we plug in as an extension of their team.
02 Practice
We build modules. When the stock application does not cover how your business actually works, the answer is usually a properly built extension rather than a workaround in Excel. We write AL extensions to AppSource standards, build integrations and APIs between BC and everything else in your stack, and produce customer or supplier portals that sit on top of BC data without exposing the ERP itself.
03 Practice
Specific applications, not a strategy deck. Assistants answering questions against live BC data so nobody exports to Excel to find one number. Document intake reading supplier invoices and remittance advices into drafted BC documents. Chat and voice front ends for stock checks, requisitions and order status. Agents that run the repetitive matching and chasing. Implementation is the real work: assessing where AI does not help, getting the data model ready, then a measured pilot before production.
Working with us
Whichever route it takes, the consultant who scopes the work is the consultant who does it.
A fixed-scope review of your environment, code and pain list, ending in a prioritized written plan. Useful even if you never hire us for the fix.
Scoped work with a defined outcome. Migration, module build, integration, upgrade remediation.
A block of hours a month with named consultants who already know your system, so nothing starts with re-explaining your business.
Senior BC resource embedded in a Microsoft Partner's team, under their project manager and their brand.
Track record
Migration
NAV installations rarely stay standard. Ten or fifteen years of customization end up baked into the base objects, which is exactly what makes the move to Business Central hard and exactly why it keeps getting deferred. We have done this move enough times to know that the code review comes first, not the data.
We start by inventorying every modification and sorting it into three piles: what is now standard functionality in Business Central, what needs to be rebuilt as an extension, and what nobody has used in six years and should quietly not come along. Then we handle the data, the testing and the cutover, with a rollback plan you can actually execute.
Where we work
Business Central looks the same in demo. It does not look the same in a cold store, a job shop or an oilfield services yard. These are the industries where we already know what the awkward parts are.
Partner services
We work as subcontracted resource for Microsoft Partners who have won the work but do not have a senior BC developer or functional consultant free for it. We take direction from your project manager, follow your development standards and branching, and stay behind your brand for the duration.
Whether that shows up as staff augmentation on a fixed sprint, a code review before you sign off a build, or a rescue on a project that has drifted, the arrangement is straightforward and the resource is senior.
Next step
Send a short description of the environment and the problem. You will get a reply from someone who has worked in Business Central, not a form letter and a discovery call invitation. If it turns out we are not the right fit, we will say so.
